How do you like to keep your Jock-o-lanterns fresh once they are carved?

Yeah I tried freezing it one year and it sorta worked at making the pumkin extra tough as long as it stayed icy but as soon as the pumpkin began to thaw out the plant material degraded rapidly from all that excess water in it.

Well I guess you mean Jack…. not much you can do about that… nature will take its course once you have cut the pumpkin.
I suppose you can make sure it is not sitting in the sun.

Try rubbing the cut edges and the inside with Vasoline. It works!!
