How do I charge up a solar powered yard lantern?

January 3rd, 2010 | by admin |
Blushing Bride asked:

I have a solar powered yard lantern.

#1. Do I need to take the light out of the bottom of the lantern and set it in the sun to charge it or can I just stick the whole lantern outside and let it charge?

#2. Do I need to have the switch turned to on or off? Or does it even matter?

Thanks
Just to clarify..do I need to turn it to on or off while charging it?
It is an “Eden’s Garden” solar light. I don’t know if it was cheap or not because it was a birthday gift ;)

The first day to leave it charge and the first day to leave it on and working they say you should replace the solar batteries once year.
