4″ paper lanterns. will christmas lights fit in them?

like, when you hang them, they have to be on a string of lights. so i was wondering since they’re only 4″ if i could just string them on white chirstmas lights. would that work?

      Lanterns will fit except that one will fit except that one will probably burn your house down and leave you homeless this.
